Striped skirt, message t-shirt, spring-summer feelings, a sunday evening at home.
Pouvons-nous parler du temps qu'il faisait ce dimanche ?! Comme j'aimerais qu'il fasse aussi chaud aujourd'hui, ne serait-ce que pour avoir de nouveau l'occasion de porter cette jupe. C'est tellement plus simple de s'habiller quand il fait beau ! Ce soir là, après avoir traversé la rivière et juste avant d'aller diner, nous nous sommes arrêtés pour capturer le moment et vous partager cette tenue - beaucoup de rayures et un peu de rouge. Les t-shirts à logo sont partout cette saison et je trouve qu'ils donnent quelque chose de plus frai aux tenues que j'ai l'habitude de porter, j'adore leur aspect graphique et jongler avec leur côté sport associé à des pièces plus sages - il y en a tellement partout en ce moment que tout le monde peut trouver un message ou un logo à son image, tout en restant dans des prix abordables. Pour en revenir à ce dimanche soir, je me sens obligée de vous parler de lumière et de toutes ces choses que j'aime et qui me font me sentir chez moi là-bas. On oublie facilement ce qui nous fait aimer un lieu quand on y vit sans interruption, et pourtant il y a tous ces détails qui nous font sourire quand on y revient. Pour moi, c'est tout d'abord la rivière, son odeur, le bruit du barrage, pouvoir m'y balader, m'y baigner, regarder les oiseaux qui la traversent et les bateaux qui passent l'écluse. C'est aussi mon jardin, les arbres, les chevreuils, les lapins, l'alignement des citronniers et des orangers, le grand magnolia et les arbres en fleur. C'est ce mélange de souvenirs que j'aimerais pouvoir saisir et regarder quand je suis un peu plus loin ou quand je ne les vois plus vraiment. Ces souvenirs et les autres, les nouveaux, que j'entreprend de créer pendant ces longs week-ends passés chez moi, ceux que l'on fabrique ensemble (comme mon chien qui rêve désespérément de se jeter à l'eau après le voilier télécommandé) et tous ces moments qu'il nous reste à imaginer. Could we talk about how sunny was that sunday ?! How I wish it was that sunny today - even just to be able to wear that skirt again. That night, in the other side of the river and just before going to diner, we decided to stop there to capture the moment and take pictures of my look - a mixture of stripes and red. Logo tees are everywhere and I love how refreshing they can be, they add something graphic yet sporty to every outfit and I love playing with them - plus we can easily find one we love for a nice price tag. (click here if you'd like to read more about them.)To come back to that sunday evening, I wanted to talk about all those little things I love when I'm home. It's easy to forget what makes us happy in a place when we live there, however it's funny to see all the details that make us smile when we come back. At home, I love first of all the river, the smell of it, the sound of the dam, being able to navigate, swim, looking at the birds crossing the water and boats passing the lock. There is also my garden, trees, roe deers, all the rabbits, lemon and orange trees, the magnolia tree and all the flowers. I wish I could always remember this things when I'm not home or when I'm here for too long I can't see anything. This memories and the ones we will continue to create together when we come back home for the week-ends (think of my dog wanting so badly to jump in the water after that small remote control boat) and all of the moments we can still imagine. "Power to" every memories we create - and that striped skirt !
